Pray,Plant,Grow,Give..SHARE

Dear Beloved:

I wanted to give you an opportunity to share in our garden Ministry and let you know how rich of an evangelistic opportunity is afforded by something as simple as a garden. We started the Neighborhood Bible Church community garden last October, and since then, we have had so many opportunities to share the Gospel through giving out fresh,organic vegetables grown on our property. I have been so blessed to give out these vegetables, and in turn have had the opportunity to share from the "natural" to the Spiritual in many of our conversations. This is the point, you can take a simple idea, like sharing vegetables and use it as a "ice breaker" to get conversation started. Then as you are sharing the "vegetable" stories, you can move from the natural to the spiritual. There are so many analogies you can make when it comes to a Garden, like tilling the soil and planting a seed... Which is what we are doing when we share the law and Gospel. The Law tills the soil of the heart and gets the person thinking of their sin, and then the Gospel shows how God is merciful to have provided us Salvation through the shed blood of His precious Son Jesus. Watering the plants, How without constant "watering" of His Word, we will wither and die, just like plants. How a small and simple seed, will grow to feed many. This how the Lord uses us. He is so great and we are so small in comparison, yet He uses us to further HIS kingdom, He doesn't need to, but He does! Praise the Lord! How one plant produces many seed, and those plants produce even more seed, and on and on. This is how the Gospel is spread, we tell one person, then they tell another, then pretty soon, more and more people are sharing the Gospel and their faith. From that one seed, comes an abundance of fruit! Wow... I could go on and on, but you get the point. The Golden thread that runs through all of these conversations is Christ and Him crucified. We must always preach Jesus and His salvation, through His death and resurrection. He is the one who saves, He is the one who grows, He is the one who takes the seed of His Gospel and grows it in the hearts of men. Praise the Lord of the harvest, Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest." Matt 9:38nasb

The "FARMERS" market

Beloved:

Our weekend stroll to the local "FARMERS" was an interesting one. As I am in a period of conviction about one 2 one witnessing, I was heading out to the local farmers market last Saturday to hand out tracts and share my faith. I am so struggling with one 2 one witnessing that I know it is a "coming up higher" period in my desire for Christ likeness. I handed out tracts boldly (ONLY in the Holy Spirits power not mine!) and met a lady heading from the market, and handed her a tract. "Did ya get your million dollars today" I said. She took the tract and said "What is it?" I told her it was a Gospel tract, and she asked me from what church? I noticed a familiar accent in her voice, and asked her where she was from. She said she was from Kenya and visiting a sick friend here. I told her about the gospel tract and even though she said she was a Christian, I gave her a brief law and Gospel message that was reinforced by the message on the back of the tract. This I did, not because I was judging her, as only God knows a persons heart when it comes to their salvation. But I am learning that alot of people say that they are Christians, and one way to share is give them the law and Gospel message, if they have truly repented and put their trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation, they can learn a way to witness to others through you, OR you can learn from them. If they are a "false convert" then they have heard the Law and Gospel and can have the Holy Spirit work conviction in them to get right with GOD. I have been experiencing an increased amount of conviction to go DEEPER in sharing my faith, and you can be sure that I am also experiencing alot of spiritual warfare as well. Beloved, these are the times we get tempered in the fire of God, that He may refine us, purify us, and it is hard. But we need to focus our eyes on Jesus, and his commandment that we go and share the Gospel "And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" Mark 16:15 nasb

By all means, if the work is hard, the fear great, or the persecution severe, remember who you serve, and the blessing of being HIS messenger of the gospel that saves a sinner from hell!

A foggy day, but a joyous day!

Friends:

Centennial park was a foggy,cold place yesterday morning. I had a great time handing out $7.00 dollar bills to the weary travelers amassed awaiting the train,buses and light rail. I didn't do any personal witnessing one on one but I had a great time seeing the smiles on faces as I gave them a $7.00 and said "HEY, DO YA GOT CHANGE FOR A SEVEN?" Never fails to raise a smile. Brothers and Sisters, our God is a Great God and is Wonderful to save! I had a discussion with a Pastor after service last week about witnessing, and we agreed that preaching the Gospel of Salvation to those whom are lost should never be "IN YOUR FACE" with disrespect,arrogance or lack of compassion! I have noticed however, that people today need to know the law of God, how badly they have violated His law, and how they WILL suffer Gods wrath on the day of judgement. This, all before we tell them of the Good News of the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ and His punishment for OUR sins. When you think about what Jesus has truly suffered for us, it should give you courage to faithfully set aside your fears, and seek those who are perishing! Take some time today, look deeply at everyone you see, and understand if they have not repented, and put their trust in Jesus Christ and HIM alone for their salvation, they will spend eternity in HELL! How can they know, unless someone tells them, they are rushing headlong into a eternity of Godless suffering and torment. YOU AND I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SEEK AND SAVE THEM.... GET UP, PUT ON YOUR ARMOR, SHARPEN YOUR SWORD... DO BATTLE SOLDIER...... FOR OUR GOD AND KING, PREACH HIS GOSPEL LIKE YOUR LIFE AND THEIRS DEPENDED ON IT.... IT DOES....!!!! 

PULL THOSE NETS IN, ME BRETHREN, PULL WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT!
