A foggy day, but a joyous day!

Friends:

Centennial park was a foggy, cold place yesterday morning. I had a great time handing out $7.00 dollar bills to the weary travelers amassed awaiting the train, buses and light rail. I didn't do any personal witnessing one on one but I had a great time seeing the smiles on faces as I gave them a $7.00 and said "HEY, DO YA GOT CHANGE FOR A SEVEN?" Never fails to raise a smile. Brothers and Sisters, our God is a Great God and is Wonderful to save! I had a discussion with a Pastor after service last week about witnessing, and we agreed that preaching the Gospel of Salvation to those whom are lost should never be "IN YOUR FACE" with disrespect, arrogance or lack of compassion! I have noticed however, that people today need to know the law of God, how badly they have violated His law, and how they WILL suffer Gods wrath on the day of judgement. This, all before we tell them of the Good News of the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ and His punishment for OUR sins. When you think about what Jesus has truly suffered for us, it should give you courage to faithfully set aside your fears, and seek those who are perishing! Take some time today, look deeply at everyone you see, and understand if they have not repented, and put their trust in Jesus Christ and HIM alone for their salvation, they will spend eternity in HELL! How can they know, unless someone tells them, they are rushing headlong into a eternity of Godless suffering and torment. YOU AND I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SEEK AND SAVE THEM.... GET UP, PUT ON YOUR ARMOR, SHARPEN YOUR SWORD... DO BATTLE SOLDIER...... FOR OUR GOD AND KING, PREACH HIS GOSPEL LIKE YOUR LIFE AND THEIRS DEPENDED ON IT.... IT DOES....!!!!

PULL THOSE NETS IN, ME BRETHREN, PULL WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT!

And until they are all in!

Fishing was slim, but the waters calm

Beloved:

Out in the transit mall, and surprised that there were not many folks about? I was blessed to hand out a few tracts and meet a couple of new folks. I did spend some time in prayer and just took some time to reflect on this past season of witnessing since the Ambassadors Academy in June. I am starting a new place to witness and it will be fun to return to my old "Alma Mater" De Anza College. I will, however continue to witness at Centennial Park.
I will be "stop light" witnessing across from the College, this type of witnessing occurs on the street corner at a crossing, where you wait for the crossing "crowd" to gather as you preach the Gospel, when the light turns, you have a whole new crowd gathering. You have about 60 to 90 seconds to preach, and trust me it can be done! I will keep you posted, and I am praying for you all. Please remember that I have created this website to encourage, edify and help train you to share your faith and it is ALWAYS for HIS glory... not mine! Remember to get out of the boat.... Fish on me brethren!

Until the nets are full!

What an opportunity!

Hello all:

I had a change in my regularly scheduled time at the transit mall this week. I went out on thursday in the morning instead of wednesday. When I got to Centennial park, I found two young folks waiting for the train, Jaime, and felicia. I gave them both a million, and took them through the law and Gospel. Again, they we're "distracted" right when I was sharing the Good News of the Gospel. They did hear the message, and had the tracts... so God be praised! As I was walking around handing out "Millions" I met a lady named Karen. I gave her a million and as I was presenting the Gospel, she would repeatedly agree and interject he understanding of the message.
I found out that she was a believer, and has been walking with the Lord for a long time. She has had many eye operations and is regaining her sight, and praising God for it. We had a great conversation about thankfulness and I explained to her it was one of my great motivators to get beyond my fears and share my faith. I have been focusing on one-on-one and it was funny how I got all tongue tied, and flustered while sharing my faith! I generally am able to speak out boldly, and contain my thoughts, but the Lord, I'm sure, was teaching me something about humility. I love how our Lord and Savior always takes my fears and insecurities about sharing my faith and preaching the Gospel, and give me so many blessings. I am blessed to meet people, to see the rewards of getting past my fears, and most of all.. I get to see HIS power at work in the lives of others. Keep on sharing your faith, do it afraid and with your knees shaking if you have to! Everyday 150,000 people step off into eternity, most do not even know what horror awaits them! Preach the Gospel, share your faith, spread the Word! Is there anything more important in YOUR life?

Until He comes and judges in righteousness!

"RUNNING"

Brethren:

I had a AWESOME experience the other day. I received a copy of "Running beyond inspiration"
By Chaplain Tony Miano. In short it, is  a story of Chaplain Miano's experience running a footrace, in honor of a fellow Sheriffs officer struck down by ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) I HIGHLY recommend it! I was in tears throughout the book! When I was done it was time for my tri-weekly 3 mile run. I headed out on my oh so routine run, and as I was on the "home stretch"
I pass by my local park. On the park bench, I observed 4-5 people sitting around, some drinking beer. I ran pass, and "WHAM" I got that "GO WITNESS TO THOSE PEOPLE" quickening in my spirit. I continued on, trying to justify not witnessing, and as I got farther away from them, I was getting more and more convicted about not witnessing! This is the real interesting part... Each and every step I took, as I was being convicted in my spirit, I felt the sun getting hotter and hotter on my head?... It was the strangest thing, I like to run when its hot.. really! I have run in over 100 degree weather, but I never EVER had this kind of thing happen! Wow! I knew I could not leave the park without witnessing to those folk, so I found the first turn off to circle around and ran back to where they were sitting.

As I approached them, I asked them "Starting on Halloween partying early huh?" they laughed and said "yep" I was wearing a NAVY shirt, and one of them asked me if I was in the navy, i told them I used to be, and one of the guys said he was too. I asked them if they new what NAVY stood for? I told them it stands for N ever A gain Volunteer Yourself, they laughed and I told them I was proud to have served in the Navy and that was a joke we used to use! I then told them that halloween was celebrating the dead, and we had a great conversation about halloween and death. I asked them where they thought we went after we died? I got some mixed answers, and then asked them where they thought THEY were going when they died?
I told them that God called everyone everywhere to repent, for He has appointed a day when HE will judge the world in righteousness(acts 17:30,31) and that Jesus is to be our judge. I took them through the law, and the Gospel, and our need to Repent and place our trust for Salvation in Jesus Christ and Him alone. about half way through, the most vocal of guys left, mumbling something I didn't hear. As I was finishing up, I could see the conviction on a couple of them, and reminded them to repent and place their trust in Jesus Christ for their Salvation. I heard the one gal there,  say "Thanks Navy!" and as I continued my run (getting late for work) my head was swimming at that turn of events... WOW! My point of this post is to encourage you to get past your fears.. Listen to when the Holy Spirit is prompting you, and if you will follow Him, you never know how HE will use you, or, how you have ministered to others. Keep up the Good work of God.

Until the nets are full

The transit mall

Here we are at the transit mall, and this is Maria, She has been a frequent receiver of tracts, and smiles. We always have fun seeing each other at the transit stop, and even though I don't speak much Spanish, I'm so glad to have tracts in the Spanish Language.

Had a great opportunity to share with Maria today, and as I was handing out tracts, who did I run into, but my ol' JW friend. I said "HI" and of course he wouldn't look at me or even acknowledge I was there.. Oh well! I had another great opportunity as well, I was walking back to my car, and about 4 cabbies that hear me open air, were  there and I gave each one a tract!!!
I know one is Hindu or seik, and the other are middle eastern. Wow! It may have been foggy, but the Fishing was great!

Until the nets are full!

Fishing at the Farmers'

Greetings all!

Our first weekend after vacation and looking forward to our Saturday Farmers Market! Joseph and I went out to the "local" farmers market to hand out tracts and witness, when we met "Deborah" We had an interesting conversation about the state of our nations financial woes, and this led from the "natural" (our financial debt) to the "Spiritual" (our sin debt) I asked her what she thought happened after we die, she said " I don't really know" and I asked her if she believed in Heaven and hell, she started rambling on about there was no heaven and hell and that they both were the same thing. I asked her how she knew that, and she said "that's what I believe" After explaining that there is a heaven and a hell as described in the Bible, I asked her if she was 100% sure she would go to heaven? She said "I believe they are both the same thing" I explained the Gospel to her and our need for a Savior to keep us from Gods wrath (hell) she then started yelling about why Christians think they are the only ones who are right. I explained to her that no other spiritual leader claimed to be the Savior of the world, and that only Jesus could save us from our sins. I took out my bible, and started reading John chapter 1
to set the foundation that Jesus is God, and BOY...Katie bar the door! Her whole countenance changed and she became very angry, packed up her things and left. All the time ranting about how Christians think they are to only one who got it right. Before she got too far I told her "Ma'am, I can only tell you I was once dead and now I'm alive" Hoping to spark another conversation, as she was leaving I left her with the thought "I can only tell you what I know happened to me" She left... and Joseph and I proceeded to the "FARMERS" as we call it!

At the Farmers market, we saw "EUGENE" a wheelchair bound gentleman, who we witnessed to before, He said he was doing well, and Growing closer with GOD!!! I was totally taken aback, by that, and said "That's Great!" He said they had a city council member coming to talk with them about some housing issue's and Wow; looking back in retrospect, I should have asked HOW he was growing closer to God. Oh well I'm learning as well. We stopped in a narrow part of the market, and I knew that I should open air right there.. well I ended up handing out "million dollar bills" and we had a great time, people were lined up to get them!!! Wow God is so gracious, here I was, too afraid to open air, and he lead people to line up for the tracts! We had fun and must have passed out 50 or more "millions" I love the adventure that witnessing brings... a confrontation to start out with, and ending with fun handing out tracts and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  ISN'T OUR GOD AN AWESOME GOD?

UNTIL THE NETS BE FILLED

Be Strong, my Beloved!

Ironman Triathlon 2008

Greetings from Kona, Hawaii. We're here at the Ironman triathlon in Kona, Hawaii. It's the world championship triathlon, and it's also the 30th anniversary of the Ironman. We (the Family) will be here on Saturday to watch the festivities and to hand out tracts and 1-to-1 witness. It will be a great opportunity since the crowds will be HUGE and packed in together!
Handed out some "millions" today and have some great memories of the fun they can bring. Most of all they have spread the Gospel to those who may not have heard to before! We will keep you updated, in the meantime.... YOU run the Race like your going to win... it is for HIS glory!

until the last runner comes home!

ORDER IN THE COURT!!!

This week has been an awesome one! I had to go to the Superior Courthouse to get some old paperwork for our adoption, and as I was in the Records Department, I couldn't help overhearing a very angry and defeated man at the records table. Come to find out he was a lawyer, and from the sound of it, not a very happy one at that! As I was standing in line to get my documents, I felt that I should give him a Million Dollar Bill tract, hoping that might cheer him up? Well, I reached into my pocket bag, and just as I was heading to this bitter and complaining man, he got up and left. Well, I finished with the Records Receptionist, and as I was heading out into the hall, I observed the very same man, looking at the court docket. I "set my face like flint" swallowed my fear and walked right up to him and handed him a Million tract. I said " Hey, would a million dollars cheer ya up?" He looked at the bill, went back to the docket and said "No, I don't think so!" I could tell he was not open to the Gospel, or for any conversation for that matter. This is the point... Sometimes, you are going to get rejected, sometimes you are going to get ignored, but there will be times when you have the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ... and all your rejections won't matter at all!

Well I headed outside, and found a few folks waiting for the court, I handed each one a tract and they really appreciated them! Wow... within a matter of minutes I went from experiencing rejection to experiencing joy in that the Gospel was spread. I didn't get to share my faith with either, yet the group that took the tracts got Gods Word unto Salvation!  Now for the "KICKER" I found a fishing hole, that is full of those who need to hear the Gospel, and some who need to hear of the Mercy and Grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Pray for angry Lawyer Man, and for those who received the Gospel through those tracts!

Keep Fishing!

The "WEDNESDAY" walk

Isn't it amazing that the Lord would use a broken vessel to hold His perfect word? On Wednesday, I had the blessed opportunity to go the transit mall and hand out tracts and share my faith. I was starting to feel kinda under the weather, but could only think about our Lord and how much He suffered for me, and then it put my "puny-ness" in perspective! There was hardly anyone there waiting for the train, but the regular fleet of yellow cabs, were lined up like race cars at the starting line! I haven't ventured out to that "field" yet, but I know many have heard me open air preach before.(probably my only hearers on many occasions) I headed out towards the trains, handed out an "AMERICA, AMERICA" tract, (I get from Living Waters Ministries ), turned the corner and ran smack dab into a couple of San Mateo's Finest (police officers) We exchanged hello's and as I passed them I was waiting for the inevitable"EXCUSE ME SIR... MAY I SEE WHAT YOU HAVE IN THAT BAG YOU CARRY?" We'll it didn't happen...too bad.. what a great way to share with them if they opened my satchel and saw all the tracts inside!

That's when I turned the corner and met "Richard" He was sitting on a bench reading from the BIBLE! I saw he was reading in the book of Joshua. I asked him if he was reading through the bible, and he was. I offered him a million dollar bill, and he laughed, took it, and we had a great time of sharing the million tract, and about sharing our faith. I was able to share with him, that it is hard to witness, but it is so important, that we must get past our fears and follow our Lord to seek and save those whom are perishing! Bottom line is.... Our Lord is so Awesome and Salvation is so necessary, we must go... even feeling badly, and our Lord is Faithful to give us all we need. The power of the Gospel is in HIS message not in our delivery, It is for HIS glory, not for our comfort, and HIS word will be proclaimed to the ends of the earth, with us or without us. So stay strong, do the work of the evangelist, examine yourself in the light of Gods law, and keep up the good work He has called us to do!

Until the nets are full!

We're casting our nets!

Had a great time today "fishing" at the local farmers market. Joseph and I making it a point to go to our local farmers market on Saturday's to hand out tracts, and share our faith. Although Joseph is only 10 months old, he is getting to share by just being the cutest baby on the planet! OK,OK maybe I am a little biased...Anywho...we headed out this morning and the farmers market crowd was a little lighter today, but it did make it easier to get a stroller down the lane! We handed out tracts near the "food court" and had alot of fun passing out million dollar bills to folks sitting on the wall having a bite. We headed down the main lane and met some of our regular folks who we visit and were even asked for more bills!  I didn't notice anyone trying to avoid me, but I did meet a man whom I gave the tracts to before, just as I was going to ask him about the message, a friend of his came up and..... well a missed opportunity.

We started home and decided to go by the bus/transit terminal and hand out tracts, when we met "jenny" of course she ooh'd and aaah'd over Joseph and so I handed her a tract. She said she grew up Presbyterian, but wasn't practicing her faith. I asked what she thought happened to us after we die, and she stated "we'll all go to heaven. there is a passage in Revelation that says there is a tree with leaves for the healing of the nations" I asked her, if everyone goes to Heaven, then why Jesus said "He was the Way,the Truth and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him" (John 14:6) She said "good question?" I then took her through the law, and sin and then explained to her that we are all guilty before God, and that only Jesus could take away our sin, by his life's blood. That we must repent, turn from our sins, and place our trust in Jesus and that He and He alone can save us from the wrath to come. I happened to look up and there were about 4-5 people within earshot of us, and some seemed to be listening, and even a few appeared angry? This is the point... you never know when you witness to someone, or open air preach, who is listening! So take the step, get past your fears, and share your faith. The person you are witnessing to may not be the only one to HEAR the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Fill those nets, pull them from the fire, snatch them from the edge of the cliff!

"NO THANKS"

Well... It was an interesting day today, at the Transit mall. There were not many folks out this morning, and just about everyone I gave a tract to rejected it? I was able to give out a few, and got some smiles and thanks from those waiting for the light rail. I did find it interesting that most of the folks were "on the run" per Se, and didn't have time to chat...(could it be the TRANSIT MALL part of the equation?) I found a couple waiting in a bus kiosk, and offered them a million dollar bill, and asked them if it had been a real million, would they have taken it? Well, all smiles and jesting but no reply. Just about the time I could have asked them about their faith, the bus came and they walked out; another missed opportunity! It is hard to witness in a place where the pace is so busy, yet it leads one to "pull the trigger" and not hesitate. This can be intimidating when your new at 1-on-1 and open air preaching, but tracts go well, even in the busiest of places.

Brothers and Sisters, I realized today, that I must venture out and find other places to "FISH" I will still be a regular at the Transit Mall (I have noticed some "regulars" who try to avoid me)
but I am out on a scouting mission next, and will keep you posted!

Stay strong, Keep up the great work of God, and until the nets are full

Making "TRACTS" in the sand

Blessed ones!

Wow... isn't it amazing how fast time flies by? It's been a week since my last post, and it seems just like yesterday! This leads me to my next observation... How many souls have passed into eternity over this last week? How many heard the Gospel, received a tract, or were witnessed to?
Brothers and Sisters, we must preach the Word, share our faith... and pull those lost souls from the edge of the cliff, and out of the fire!  Our God is powerful to save without us, but isn't it AWESOME that he allows us to be a part of HIS eternal plan of salvation? Let us NOT take this wonderful opportunity for granted, for one day, there will be no more witnessing, or open air preaching... for Jesus will have come. COME, LORD JESUS, COME!

Are you ready? your family, friends, neighbors?

Until the nets are full!

Fishing was slim!

Brethren:

Well, the fishing has been slim....or has the fisherman been lazy?  Went to the Farmers Market on Saturday, and guess what?..... It was closed? There was road work being done, so Sunnyvale didn't hold it's Farmers Market. It was kind of funny, as I was really praying that the Lord would give me courage to hand out tracts, one-on-one, and even open air at this Farmers Market, since I didn't have Joseph (my 9mo old son) with me. I was really having a hard time with my courage and faith to go out this weekend and witness. Finally, I knew that I must get past my fears and just trust in HIM and remember that the power is in HIS word not in my presentation. Well, I got to the farmers market..trembling, and sweating, and.... IT WAS CLOSED! Our Lord has a great sense of humor doesn't He?

I'm sure there was a lesson to be learned there, and I know that one day I'll understand! I had some errands to run, and handed out some tracts. When I was checking out at the local supply store, I asked the girl behind the counter if "she was working hard today?" She said she was tired and working hard... It came to me to ask her "Do you ever think you'll work hard enough to be a millionaire?" she said "NO" and I handed her a million dollar bill tract and said " now you have" She laughed and the guy behind me in line said, good job leading her up to that! I didn't get to witness to her, but I could see that this was an effective way to move from the natural to the spiritual! This is so important, to find ways of moving from the natural to the spiritual, and is the first thing we must do, to start our one-on-one's. It adds a new excitement and fun to everything we do, when we can use even the mundane tasks to open up a opportunity to share the Gospel.

Take some time this week.. tracts in hand, and practice moving a conversation from the natural to the spiritual, and you'll see... It's fun and great practice. Ultimately, you may get the opportunity to share your faith, and the true Gospel of Salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ!
Enjoy Gods humor, share your faith, get past your fears, and help rescue those 155,000 whom are perishing each and every day!

Until the nets are full!

Tracts Attract

Blessed ones:

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of meeting with a fellow professor of the faith, quite by accident(?) I was at the bookstore, I have been wanting John MacArthurs study bible. I observed an older lady looking at the tract carousel, I went over to her and asked her if she had ever seen the million dollar bill tract before? She saw it and laughed, we had a great 30-45 minutes of fellowship, discussing many subjects, and our testimonies. We had some very deep discussions about the emerging church, and the apostasy that is rampant in our Nation and world today! What a blessing it was to meet a "family" member and benefit from her years of service to the Lord! I even felt like I was able to offer her some of my "Infant" wisdom.. well not mine, but from the Word of God.  We both agreed that ALL teaching we are exposed to, MUST be tested by the Holy Scriptures! Funny how we ended our great time of fellowship with that considering that we we're in the BEREAN Bookstore!!!
Remember my fellow soldiers in Christ, be like the bereans in Acts 17:11
"Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so."
Acts 17:11 (NASB)
It so absolutely imperative that we ONLY preach the Word, tested by the scriptures, this applies to our one-on-one witnessing as well. We offer no benefit to the lost, by watering down Gods Holy Word so it won't offend! Let the power of His word pierce the heart of those who perish, so that the golden thread of the Gospel of Salvation will enter their hard cold hearts. Let it drive them to their knees in repentance, begging for Mercy, and entering TRUE conversion unto Salvation in Jesus Christ. Our God is a Mighty God indeed!

Keep Fishing until the nets are full, and the harvest comes!

Warm day for "FISHING" but getting warmer..for some!

Brothers and Sisters:
The fishing was slim today, But our God is still Holy, and Righteous! He placed Roger in my path today, and well...   OK, let me start from the beginning. Today (Wednesday) is my regular "scheduled" fishing day, and as I proceeded to my regular spot, I handed out some "AMERICA,AMERICA" tracts, always a great tract. Most people don't even question it as they look  down when I hand them out. As I was heading down the far side of the railroad tracts, I saw a man rounding the corner, and said to myself "OH, YOUR NOT GETTING AWAY FROM ME" Hmm not sure why I said that? I walked to the bus terminal and there was that man. I grabbed a million dollar bill tract and handed it to him. He said "NO WAY" grabbed it and laughed. I told him it had a Gospel message on the back, and then asked him if he had any religious background? He said he kinda did and that he was catholic. I asked his named and he told me his name was roger. I asked him where he thought we went after we died, and he said he didn't think we went anywhere. He said he didn't believe in heaven or hell. I told him that If I didn't believe in gravity and threw myself off of the train office behind us, when I hit the ground, it wouldn't matter what I believe, but the what matters, is the truth!
I took him through the law, and the Gospel, but he refused to believe that there was punishment for our breaking Gods' law. He said that we couldn't make analogies about man's law when referencing Gods' law. I kept trying to bring him back to his violation of the law, and his deserving of punishment. We had a lot of discussions about church "laws" as he called them and about what the bible says about hell, punishment, grace and salvation. Well, we agreed to disagree I left him a few tracts and told him to consider what we had talked about and that the back of the tracts will remind him of our conversation!  I had to leave for my appointment, and was a bit late.... But WELL worth it!  From the perspective of fishing... I had a big one hooked, but couldn't get him to get in the boat (of truth!)

Keep those lines in the water, and nets filled!

Walking as He walked...

Here is a wonderful quote from Joel R. Beeke's book "WALKING AS HE WALKED"  I found this on Tony Miano's the Lawman Chronicles blog:

"We are pilgrims here. God doesn't want us to put our tent stakes into this earth's soil too deeply. If we carry our crosses after Jesus, engage in Christian ministry, and testify openly against sin, you can be sure that we will face numerous crosses. You can't stand up for the name of Jesus and not bear the cross of Jesus. If our lives are spent for the cross of Christ, our lives will encounter that cross.

May this encourage and convict you as much as it has me!

Keep Fishing!

Not just any ole' day of FISHING!

Wow....That's all I can say.... I have been looking forward to our Saturday farmers market all week. It is one of my favorite fishing holes, and a challenge to boot! Joseph (my son) and I headed out early and when we got there, it was packed! Before we went to pass out tracts and witness... I had to stop and pour out my heart to the Lord, I was nervous and scared (who isn't?) I opened up my "OPEN AIR" preaching booklet I received at the Ambassadors Academy, and poured over and prayed over the Evangelism encouragement pages, they include areas with scripture like, WE GO BECAUSE WE BELONG TO CHRIST, WE GO BECAUSE SAVING THE LOST WAS JESUS' PURPOSE,WE GO BECAUSE WE ARE COMMANDED TO, and more. I was very encouraged when I read Mark 13:11 "Do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit" Also in ISAIAH 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"

A lot of people took tracts, and I was blessed with very few rejections, I had the opportunity to witness with "TIM" He is a young man who lives on the streets, and said he was a believer, but that he had "backslidden" After we had some conversations about what it means to be a follower of Christ, I had to tell him that I didn't believe that he had "slidden" forward in the first place..... I then went through the law with him. I could see his countenance change and he  appeared to be really listening. we then talked about sin and repentance, then Grace and Mercy and what Jesus did for us on the cross. He was really convicted and humbled at this point and I shared with him my testimony. He was so appreciative, and encouraged  and said he was going to repent and read his bible. I asked him if he had one, and he didn't. I was so blessed to have one for him (always, always, always keep bibles on you for occasions like these) We talked some more and then Joseph and I left. As I was walking away I felt so blessed that God gave me Tim to witness to, and  that he was so encouraged and convicted. please pray for Tim and his salvation!  So Brothers and Sisters, it is so important to be obedient to God, get past your fears, and witness. Pray before you do, that it will be for HIS glory, and that he would place people in front of you that need to hear the Gospel, or RE-Hear the Real Gospel! Be prepared spiritually, and be prepared physically (bibles,tracts,etc...) Keep fishing me brethren! Keep fishing!

Until the lord of the Harvest Comes!

Home from the North!

Well, Just got home from Oregon, and had a great time! Had an opportunity to hand out tracts at the Rogue River mall, with my lovely wife and little son! Had quite a few talks with folks and caused quite a stir at the Starbucks in the mall! I gave the Barista who waited on me a million dollar bill, and after I left (others in line) I heard him telling his fellow workers that He got a million dollars, and I overheard one of his peers make some remark like that was $125,000 dollars an hour! Yikes! On the way home today, we intended to stop at a little coffee shop we know of in Anderson, California, but it was closed and being rebuilt. We decided to head into Red Bluff and get something to eat, well we drove around, and the Baby was getting fidgety, so we decided on a quick Arbys. When we got inside, had the chance to give a couple of tracts to a family with a new baby, and a man came over to our table and said "Hey, are you doing the "WAY OF THE MASTER" TRACTS... I told I was, and he introduced himself as a Pastor in Sonora, real nice man and he had his son with him, we talked about some upcoming events happening at his Church, and that his church teaches biblical evangelism and unfortunately he had to leave. Also met a real nice lady from a local Baptist church in Los Molinos, who invited us to their service as well!
All I can say is that I'm glad we had the chance to stop, as our Lord was glorified and the message was shared! You never know how Jesus is going to use you, so Don't Quit!

Until He returns to take us Home!

A..GIANT...Opportunity to share the Gospel

Beloved:

Today, is the day I set aside to witness at the transit mall, and boy, did I get a great blessing! Little did I know... A Giants game was today in San Francisco! (sad that a giants fan wouldn't know that!) people were getting on the train, heading to the city and it sure was a crowd. I handed out alot of tracts and had a great time talking to folks, and dodging the transit police. I'm sure that if they were concerned about me they would let me know! I do have to admit, I had a great opening to open air to about 100 people waiting for the train, but I didn't! I took my focus off of Jesus and let fear and excuses, keep me from sharing the Greatest Truth. One thing I learned though... You have to walk when the Lord gives you the open door! The train came and ....off they went. I was left on an open, virtually empty platform with my heart so very convicted! Well I was not going to leave that place without open air preaching! I walked over to the center of the Bus waiting area, where I usually OA and proceeded to preach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! After I was done... I thanked the 8 or 10 pigeons and 2 sparrows that were my audience! It reminded me of the story of the street preacher that faithfully preached each time, even though no one seemed to hear, yet, there was a lady who was sick and in bed and was ministered to by this faithful servant of Gods Word, and the street preacher didn't even know! Never forget that God's Word NEVER returns void..NEVER!
Faithfully preach the word, witness and hand out tracts..... THE POWER IS IN GODS WORD,NOT IN OUR PRESENTATION!

Until the nets are full!

The evil is loosed

People of God:

The Lakeland revival has hatched it's worst minion onto the world. If this is really true, the evil is loosed!

An unexpected witness opportunity!

Good Monday to you all!

Had a great witness opportunity this morning I just had to tell you about! 'Bout every monday morning I tend my non-fruiting strawberries in the front of my house, it's near the sidewalk, so I have many people passing by. Well this morning, I grabbed a few tracts, my weeder, basket, and Ipod (gotta listen to way of the master) and headed out to the curb. I had a conversation with the "regulars" who walk by... and have been "TRACT-ED" But, today I met a lady named Maria, who accepted my $1,000,000 bill, and after I askd her if she had a religious background, she told me she was Catholic, but that she didn't have to go to church. I asked her if she thought she was a good person, and she said she was. I then got a chance to give her the good person test, the law and the Gospel! Wow, and who says yard-work is a chore? By Gods mercy and blessing, I was able to witness one on one with Maria. Our God is so Wonderful and Awesome! Pray for Maria please!

I  regularly listen to Way of the Master on my Ipod, and this last episode is with Mark Cahill, If you don't know Mark Cahill, he is an author, preacher and super evangelist! He has two books out.. "One thing you can't do in heaven", and "One heartbeat away" I read  the book one thing you can't do in heaven, and now am doing the workbook. If you need encouragement, and conviction about witnessing, you have got to read his books. Warning...you will never be the same!
I frequently refer back to mark's book "one thing you can't do in heaven" when I feel like I'm getting lazy, squishy,or weak. Folks... a lot of people have been praying, since the days our Lord Jesus Christ walked on this earth, for laborers for the harvest. The fields are truly ripe, and the days of gathering are here! Please continue the work of the evangelist, spreading the Gospel and snatching the lost from the fires of Hell! Don't quit, don't quit, don't quit!

Until the nets are full!

The "FISH" were deep today!

Brothers and Sisters!

Well, the fishing today was interesting to say the least! When I got to the transit mall today, there was practically no one there! When I was there last, there were tons  of people around! My witness partner (baby joe) and I walked around and did get the chance to hand out a few tracts and I witnessed to a man from India named adeev. I had given him a tract last one of the times I was there, and had a nice conversation on his hindu religious beliefs. I seemed to have a little trouble transiting from that conversation to the Gospel, but ultimately he knows that we believe their is but One God  of whom we will stand in judgement! He refused to take a tract and check it out... but he has heard, and I pray a seed was planted. Hey... I also saw the young man I had talked to before "evan" He shook my hand but I could tell he was in no way going to have another conversation on the Gospel! All we can do is pray for these folks, show them Love and compassion and let them know we appreciate them, even if we differ on the truth!

The Open air was as always a great experience. There were only a few folks in sight, but you never know who's listening! I started by telling them I was glad they were alive and could hear me, because they still had a chance to hear the message that will save them for eternity! After presenting the law, judgement and the good news of our debt payment by Jesus with His life's blood,  talking  about repenting, turning and placing our faith in Jesus Christ, that HE alone can save us from the wrath to come, sounded so very true and right! When we are presenting the Gospel BIBLICALLY and in the Holy Spirits power, His word never return void...NEVER!
Keep Fishing me brethren!

Until the nets are full!

Sowin' seeds at the Farmers Market

A beautiful day to head to the Local (farmers market) with my son, Joseph (8 months) The market was really busy today, and it was great to see some of the "regulars" I have passed out tracts to quite a few of the regular vendors and had some great comments about them. I met a really nice vendor who I had purchased from, but never witnessed to. She was from Palmdale,CA and regularly makes the "circuit" of Farmers markets. She loved the million dollar bill, and was so excited to have one. Whenever someone does something nice I try to come back with "HEY, SUCH A NICE GESTURE IS WORTH A MILLION DOLLARS..HERE" and I hand them a million dollar tract. I tell them it's a Gospel tract and that there is a Gospel message on the back, if they would please take time to read it! I usually tell them also these (the tracts) are fun to ask your friends "HEY, YA GOT CHANGE FOR THIS" Most people are so kind they start to get out their purse or wallet, until they see what it is...a million dollars!  Brothers and sisters, it is so important to share our faith in a biblical way, tracts may be the easiest, but please never underestimate the power of a good tract.
Until the nets are full.

Great day at the transit mall!

Had a great morning at the local transit mall, handed out alot of tracts met alot of people, and had a great conversation with a young man named evan. He was none to receptive to the Gospel tract I gave him, but we had a good conversation, and the Gospel was shared... a seed planted? Met a nice spanish speaking family and I was sure glad to have the "MIL" dollar in spanish! I also met a brother from Taiwan, who was out here just till the weekend, very nice man! Open air had basically an "AUDIENCE OF ONE?" but I did notice a few men standing by the taxi stand, listening.  I had an interesting thought while running today.. I took a few days off from my running schedule, and boy.... did I struggle in the mountains today! All the way to the top of the mountain, I felt like I was going to stop, had to really push to get to the top. Isn't that the way it is if we take a break from seeking the lost and spreading the Gospel? We can lose our "Gospel witness fitness" pretty quick if we don't continually keep sharing the Gospel first and foremost in our minds. Remember, 150,000 people will step off into eternity today, many of those may be among us! Keep sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Christ, Use the law as a schoolmaster to drive the lost to HIM! and as Brother Tony would say... DON'T QUIT!
Until the nets are full!

HOW TO FISH...at the farmers market

Brothers and Sisters:
IT"S THE WEEKEND!  A welcome relief for many! What are you planning to do this weekend; are you going to spend time doing Gods work...I hope so! We have our farmers market this weekend, and what a blessing! One of the hardest things to do when you open air is to draw a crowd. A farmers market, sporting event, or conference is a "READY MADE" gathering of "FISHES" I have found that in "farmers market" fishing, I start with handing out tracts.. The vendors love them, and people are already in a "I'll take that" mode. So, handing them a tract.."HEY,DID YA GET ONE OF THESE" most people are pretty receptive, If you go to the food vendors, many times there will be a line, and your prospects are better for 0ne-on-one. I compare it to fishing in moving water( walking down the street) and finding a fishing hole(those waiting in line to buy). I find that many times people have been found sitting on the curbs between vendors, and can be easily approached...courage my friends...courage. The down side to this evangelism site, is that it can be very busy, very loud and quite intimidating. Just remember that our Lord will guide us to who HE wishes us to witness to, and we just need to be faithful to step out! Let me know how your week/weekend went. And stay tunes for the upcoming podcast! Until all have heard!

The Nets...Are they full yet?

Well, it's getting closer to the end of the week and alot is going on! First, I want to send a shout out to my brother Jack, and his family, on the arrival of the newest member of the family. My brother(whom I met at the Ambassadors Academy) has a new son, and Mom and Baby are doing fine! Also, a shout out to my Brothers and Sisters from the Academy, may your "fishing" be plentiful! I had some interesting times this week handing out tracts, and witnessing. I have been scouting out great places to "FISH" and found the perfect fishing hole! It's nearby, in a city next to where I live. The square is a terminal for our local light rail system, the local train system, and a bus terminal, for city bus lines! I went there yesterday to hand out tracts, witness and open air. I haven't open air preached since Huntington beach during the academy last month, and I have been so convicted in my spirit to do so. I have been in prayer daily that I would continue to be on fire for the Lord in seeking and saving the lost. ( I seek..HE saves!)

I have had many opportunities to open air and have chickened out, so I was determined to preach the Gospel. I arrived about one and a half hours before  had an appointment nearby, I parked my car... did some serious praying and headed to the square. I hadn't been there in a long time so I walked around looking for the best places to open air. Alot of people waiting for the train, and getting on and off the bus and light rail, so it's a really busy place. I made a few feeble attempts to get up on the wall, and preach, each time I got scared and so I walked around handing out tracts, and talking to folks. After three times of losing my nerve, I almost gave up and went home, and as I was about to give up, It came to me.(the spirits leading?).. The only way I can fail in this is to QUIT, and that I was NOT going to do!  I finally decided to head out into the center square, and after a quick prayer I headed out and started preaching the Gospel... People were looking at me, peeking around the bus's, trying to hide in their papers (crazy religious nut!) but as I was preaching, Gods word is powerful, and there were a few who were listening, for sure! When I was done, I thanked the crowd (?) for listening to me and I left... as I was walking, I was struck on how the Lord, didn't let me feel proud, or like I had accomplished something, more like it was something I was supposed to do!  I walked around talking with some more folks, handing out tracts, and felt a new vigor, and was actually looking for another place to preach!

We will never know how our sharing of the faith affects those around us, it is so important to be obedient to the Spirits leading, we don't know who the Lord may have led to us, to hear HIS Word and Gospel preached.  Remember  DON'T QUIT! and until the nets are full. FISH ON!

The fishing has been picking up!

Beloved:

Been out lately? I was out the last few days handing out tracts, and had an interesting encounter this morning! See I was out this morning in the Garage and I saw a lady walking towards me on the sidewalk. I reached into my pocket, grabbed a $1,000,000 bill and handed it to her "HEY, DID YOU GET ONE OF THESE?" I said. She looked at it and then at me, and I explained to her that it was not a real bill and that it had a gospel message on the back. She politely declined and handed it back to me...end of story, right? Nope..... as I was finishing up cleaning out my car, she came back! he asked me if she could have it to give to her son.. I said "SURE!" and then asked her if she had any spiritual background? She told me she was a hindu, and we had quite a discussion that centered around the "There are many ways to God" statement she made. I took her through the ten commandments, and the gospel, although I was kinda stumbling around a bit. I kept bringing the conversation back to the conscious and away from the intellect, by focusing on that Jesus was the only one who claimed to be the only way to the Father, and that he fulfilled the legal transaction that occurred as Jesus too our sin debt to the cross, paying our fine in His life's blood! Well, after a few minutes of further discussion, she invited me to their house for a sat-sang (?) as she will be returning to India after the weekend.
After she left, I went into the garage, fell on my knees and thanked Him for giving me that opportunity to share the gospel with her, I stumbled a bit, and was a little unsure, as I am pretty new at witnessing one-on-one, but I also asked that He would work in this lady in a mighty way! Wow, after many disappointing times I failed to listen to the Holy Spirits leading, I am so blessed that He is faithful to give us the strength and courage to go beyond our fears and step "OUT OF THE BOAT" Always for HIS glory!
